Probate law deals with the management of an estate upon the death of the owner of the estate.

Probate involves the intervening of a court to determine the validity and legality of a will, the legitimacy of any and all contentions of the will, and to assist in the disbursement of cash awards and real property to heirs and beneficiaries of the estate.

Probate law also dictates that an administrator is appointed to carry out the requirements and demands of the court.
