Inheritance law deals mostly with the issues arising from a will dictating heirs to the estate or other real assets.

The executor of the will and/of the administrator of the estate turn to inheritance law to help determine succession (of heirs) and the claims (both valid and unfounded) of the heirs of the estate. Inheritance laws can vary from state to state.
