At the time of death of the will’s signer, the executor carries out a number of
duties such as arranging to satisfy the debts of the deceased, contacting heirs
and potential heirs, calculates taxes and makes payment, and protects the assets
of the estate.
The executor may also assist other attorneys, particularly the attorney
of the deceased or deceased’s family in attending the details of the execution of
the will and subsequent issues that may arise.
