The executor of the estate acts as a “manager” of sorts of the deceased’s estate.

Duties include paying the deceased’s taxes, managing of funds such as real cash as well as investments, contact the heirs of the deceased, and protecting real property and assets.

The executor of the estate also works with family attorneys to attend to matters of the deceased’s wishes.
