An executor of a will carries out practical responsibilities such as obtaining information regarding beneficiaries (and potential beneficiaries) named in the will, arranging for payment of debts of the estate, attending to creditors’ claims, the resolution of bills and the payment of taxes, filing forms and assisting the estate attorney.
