Estates are a collection of real estate and other assets, both financial and physical.
At the time of death of the owner of the estate, an executor distributes the deceased’s
assets as set down in their will and testament.
An estate is sometimes placed in probate, where the administration
of assets are determined by a court.
Estates can include potentials such as investments, stock and bonds
as well as money set aside in trusts for the benefit of heirs who reach a certain
age (such as a college fund).
Philanthropic efforts and contributions to charities are also considered
part of an estate.
